Each Sabbat corresponds to the turning point in nature. This is a yearly journey through the seasons.
There are four solar festivals relating to the sun's position in the sky. The Greater Sabbats are: Spring Equinox, the Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice.
The other quarter days are the Lesser Sabbats [fire festivals] Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasadh and Samhain.
By honouring the Wheel of the Year, we reaffirm our connection to nature, so that her endless cycles turn, and we go with the flow.
